Dungeon Minesweeper from Publisher and Developer Stamina Zero LLC

Mashup of classic dungeon crawlers and minesweeper with large randomly generated maps. Feels like a port from PC but still playable on console.
A Dungeon Crawler Twist on Minesweeper. Just like the original Minesweeper each game/attempt is different (randomly generated map), think of it as a roguelike.
You are provided with a simple tutorial on how to move around the level, what/how to dig, and how to flag the mines. Like most dungeon crawlers, collecting items is only part of it, there is also a combat element. There are two different ways to fight, Melee Combat or Ranged Attacks. Each has their pros and cons. Melee combat does more damage but puts you in range of the enemies and the Ranged attack is Magic that uses your limited amount of mana. You are able to replenish your mana by finding and picking up items in the level or buying them from a Wizard located somewhere on the level using the rocks/metals you mine as currency.

The game has Free Play and Story Mode available. Story has Normal and Hardcore modes. We expected Hardcore to be a little more hardcore as it seems the only thing that is different from normal mode is not being able to save your progress.
Story mode is where the game becomes something a little different as you have tasks/objectives to complete before being able to leave. Sounds interesting. A Wanderer you meet when you start the game issues tasks/objectives for you. Sadly, the Wanderer will not provide you with the next task until you complete the first one. While some of the tasks are simple like gathering a set amount of metals, others require a bit of luck using the metals you found to buy upgrades from the Wizard.

We played it on Xbox and you can tell that it was created with mouse controls in mind as the menus and gameplay are all point and click. We would have loved to be able to use the d-pad to move around the menus instead of using the thumbsticks to move the cursor.
The game has a Pixel/Retro theme for the artstyle and music that fits the Minesweeper style.
Overall, if you enjoy Minesweeper and dungeon crawlers there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy this mashup.
